This has to be the most versatile vehicle I have owned. It is in very clean condition, and has only minor marks as you would expect of a vehicle of this age, in fact it probably has less than my wifes which is newer. I have owned this just over 12 months and it has nt let me down. We are now getting to a stage where the kids aren't out as often with us. To those who have read up on Freda's and Bongos ( and to those who haven't) These are probably the answers to the most important questions: Copy of export certificate states manufactured June 1999. Imported to UK 2010. Last mileage recorded in Japan 144,300km in 2008 and 122,700km in 2006 (90187 miles and 76,687 miles respectively) Imported 2010, I am the second UK owner. Waxoyled November 2013, and I believe prior to the first UK keeper taking possesion. yes I know where the oil dipstick is, and it isnt that much of a faff when you check it on a regular basis. Temprature gauge works, and no overheating whilst in my possession. ( There is a receipt for a service in October 2012 where the head was checked and found to be in order) All important cam belt change in August 2013. No horrible noises from Engine or box. MOTS in uk and mileage 2011 94905 2012 104652 2013 109999 2014 118659 Last serviced with MOT this June, front fogs connected and rear fog moved to separate switch. Auto Free top and all blinds opening and closing as they should. no known leaks, front and rear curtains and rails in place. If you are very concerned about fuel consumption, the Freda (or bongo) is probably not the vehicle for you. The best I have seen on a run is 27MPG with a light trailer on the back, around the hills and lanes where I live its more like 21. You may see higher figures on forums, but I havnt. The rear arches have some very minor rust on, which I have tried to show on the photos. It was waxoyled on my purchase, and I believe on purchase by the previous uk owner. Speedo reads in MPH and miles covered. The aircon belt snapped a few weeks ago. I have the replacement, but as yet have not had it fitted. Prior to this was working ok. To be honest I dont use it. heater still works In the last 12 months it has had 4 new tyres, a new battery, two exhaust sections replaced, serviced at MOT June 2014. I have fitted a hands free blue tooth pioneer stereo, which can play music from MP3 players as well as provide answering facility for your phone, with an external mic. I have also had a towbar fitted with twin electrics. This has been used to pull a caravan (once for about 50 miles) and a lightweight camping trailer. To those in the know, you'll appreciate how handy 8 seats that fold down to form a huge bed are. To those looking for the first time. HAving used them when I forgot the caravan awning pegs, I will vouch how comfortable they are. Will easily sleep two adults, and there is room for another two (slim) adults in the roof. Inside is very clean, and has just been professionally valeted.
